This book is age appropriate for younger kids. I think if my 11 year old sat down to read it she would take awhile but maybe 15 would be a good age to read.
We start the book with a character who is not the main character. It is an event that matters later.
Ren has magic abilities and can take memories from people, if she takes too many memories she leaves the person as a shell of themselves called a Hollow. People with abilities like Rens are highly sought after to use as weapons on the kings court. Ren must figure out how to access her own memories and pick a side.
