Historical fiction

18th century London, there is a shop that sells poison to women whose husbands are unfaithful. Nella has only 2 rules, she must write down the name of every woman who poisons their husband and rule number two, the poison must never be used on another woman.

Eliza is a 12 year old who goes to Nellas shop to get a bottle of poison for her mistress. She becomes an apprentice and helps Nella around the shop. Eliza makes a grave error that has Nella on edge.

Caroline is present day in London when she stumbles across a tiny vile with a bear etched on it. She decides since she is on her anniversary without her cheating husband she will track down where the bottle came from. She finds everything she is looking for and then some.
